SPLIT SYSTEMS

Split systems consist of two separate sections: Indoor and Outdoor. They can be set up three different ways:

1. Dual Fuel System - an outdoor section which heats and cools with electricity, with an

     indoor gas furnace.

2. Heat Pump System - an outdoor unit which heats and cools with electricity, with an indoor

     electric air handler.

3. Split Gas System - an outdoor section which cools with an indoor gas furnace.

We carry other brands and styles in addition to these shown. Give us a call and we would be glad to answer any questions you might have.

SEER - Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating

Measures cooling performance on air conditioners, heat pumps and gas/electric package products.

HSPF - Heating Seasonal Performance Factor

It is a measure of the average number of BTU of heat delivered for every Watt-hour  of electricity used by the heat pump over the heating season.  As ratings increase, so does unit efficiency.
